Only contests on the active MRA contest list count.
Score by contest-date year, not by 3830 post date.
Max 4 points per contest: 3830 + COSB + Level 1 + Level 2.
No 3830 post = no points for that contest.
COSB bonus for 2026 uses stored evidence plus known-user overrides.
QSO parties use the Out-of-State threshold family.
Non-QSO-party contests use HP / LP/QRP / Multi-op thresholds.
Multi-op credited TCG members each get full contest credit once per edition.

TCG Operator Achievement Award Rules
This is an individual achievement program designed to reward activity, consistency,
online score sharing, and meaningful participation across the contest year.
Bronze 8 points
Silver 20 points
Gold 85 points
Platinum 175 points
How points are earned
3830 / score-post credit: A qualifying eligible contest result earns base participation credit.
COSB bonus: A result can earn an additional bonus when the score is supported by Contest Online Scoreboard evidence or trusted manual COSB evidence.
QSO threshold bonuses: Additional points are awarded for reaching the Level 1 and Level 2 QSO targets for that contest.
Maximum per scored contest: A result can earn up to 4 total contest-result points: participation, COSB, Level 1, and Level 2.
Bonus achievements: Separate annual one-point bonuses can be earned on top of contest-result points.
Bonus achievements
In addition to normal contest-result points, members can earn up to
6 extra annual bonus points. Each bonus is worth
1 point and can only be earned once per year.
Road Warrior At least 2 qualifying mobile / rover / portable / road efforts with 50+ QSOs each.
Night Owl At least 2 qualifying 160m contests with 50+ QSOs each.
Triple Play At least one CW, one SSB, and one Digital contest with 50+ QSOs each.
Team Player At least 2 qualifying multi-op contest credits with 50+ QSOs each.
Volunteer At least 50 QSOs in the Tennessee QSO Party.
Unicorn Activate a TNQP county that was not activated in 2025.
2026 Unicorn target counties: Clay, Lake, and Lewis.
Eligible contests
Contest eligibility and bucket size are based on harvested 2025 3830 activity data.
Very small contests below the activity cutoff are excluded so the program does not reward obscure, low-participation events too heavily.
Eligible contests are grouped into Small, Medium, and Large buckets. The bucket affects the QSO thresholds shown on each operator detail page.
Manual corrections may be made when scraped 3830 data is incomplete, mislabeled, or obviously wrong.
Single-op, slash-call, mobile, and rover scores
Slash calls are credited to the base member call when appropriate. For example, AD4EB/M credits AD4EB.
Mobile, rover, portable, and similar suffixes are allowed when they clearly map back to the member.
The source score remains linked to the actual station call that posted the result.
Multi-op and hosted-station scores
Out-of-state and hosted multi-op results can credit the individual TCG operators listed in the operator list.
The station call itself does not need to be a TCG member if the listed operator is an eligible TCG member.
Example: if AD4EB and K4RO are listed as operators at K3LR, AD4EB and K4RO can receive individual achievement credit.
The station call does not receive individual achievement credit unless that station call is itself an eligible member.
COSB bonus rules
For own-call or slash-call results, COSB credit follows the trusted member call.
For hosted or multi-op results under a different station call, COSB credit follows the station call, not the individual operator.
Example: AD4EB operating at K3LR receives COSB bonus only if K3LR has COSB evidence or is marked as a trusted COSB station.
COSB historical data is sparse, so some trusted users/stations may be manually seeded when we know they consistently use the scoreboard.
Future Active Now COSB scrapes are retained as historical evidence instead of being deleted after 14 days.
What this award is not
This is not a contest ranking and it is not intended to crown a winner.
The goal is to recognize individual activity and encourage more TCG members to post scores and use the online scoreboard.
That is why the public page shows award levels instead of rank numbers.
